November

November 30, 2015

November has been relatively mild.  As a result, I've been able to spend quite a bit of time fishing and doing other "warm weather" activities.

Fishing:

We've really caught a lot of blue fish..  They've been plentiful in the Beaufort Inlet.  I've been 6 or 7 times and caught fish on all but one trip (I guess it was too windy and the water was stirred up too much).  Clara stews them with potato's and they are fantastic.

The only fishing trip that was unsuccessful was when Heidi and Tiffiny went with us.  I think that when they popped the cork on the champagne, it scared all the fish away.

Kayaking:

Again, good weather offered the opportunity for a little kayaking.

The birds are plentiful.  In the picture below, I saw the bird above catch a nice sized fish.  It's about the only time I've ever seen  a bird actually catch one.

Mike's Farm:

Jean had mentioned last year that she and Maddy had gone to Mike's Farm in Beulaville for their hayride/light show.

So we loaded up the motor home one evening with several neighbors and drove down (about 1 1/2 hours for a fun evening.

Tiffiny, Jennifer, Walter (and Jack taking the picture) Jean, Madelyn and me.
