Maine

Sun, Aug 4

This morning we got some bad news.  Last Thursday, Our dear friend Sheila Morgan's son had passed away.   Thank goodness we were able to get back into the USA where our cell phones worked and Clara was able to talk to Sheila.  A very sad time.

We arrived at Tony and Jill's around noon - it was only about a 3 1/2 hour drive from St. Andrews. Instead of staying in an RV Park, we decided to try and drive the RV down the narrow path to their property on the lake.  It's worked beautifully and we are now sitting overlooking Phillips Lake. We were even able to tap into the electric system to at least be able to keep the batteries charged and make coffee in the mornings.

We are parked overlooking Phillips Lake
The Duck poses with the motorhome
Tonight we fixed dinner in the RV and ate in the lake house (or as they call it, the Camp).  The view from the Camp overlooking the lake and the huge boulders between the lake and and the Camp is great.

Mon-Fr, Aug 5 - 9

We are just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful location and the Pimentels.

A turtle suns on the rocks.  It is shedding its shell for a new one.
Sitting in the Camp enjoying the view of the lake

A loon and its baby
A loon stretches its wings

Sittin' on the lake

Lobster dinners aplenty!!
We can often hear the mournful call of the loons.

Tomorrow, everything changes!  We pick up Anna at Logan Airport in Boston.
