This Christmas holiday period was marred by colds and the flu. Just before Christmas, Evan got the flu, followed by all the family. When they were about done, Clara came down with a cold. Thus, we ended up staying here in Beaufort through the holidays.
Evan is still in year-round school, so he is out of school a lot in January. Slade, Anna and Evan came down to Beaufort Jan 11 for a fun filled weekend, and Evan stayed with us for the next few days.
The first of the week, we had warm weather, so on Monday, we got the power boat out of storage and spent a good part of the day enjoying the Spring-like temperatures.
Wednesday, Evan and Papa went over to Ft Macon for a little history lesson.

Friday, we took off for Raleigh to celebrate Anna's 12th Birthday.
