We've started the final leg home.
I think we're both getting a little anxious to get back to Beaufort. We left January 5. It will be 10 weeks by the time we get back. That's a little long - except we keep reminding ourselves what a lousy winter it's been in both Beaufort and Spruce Pine.
We drove to Mayport Naval Station - about 3 hours today.
We're staying in a different park here for the first time. Normally we stay on the river at Pelican Roost, but there is no room there, so we're staying in their overflow campground, which is really one of the prettier and roomier RV parks we've stayed in. It's really quiet and built among huge palm trees. I was told it was once the base's mobile home park, but now it's converted to a lovely RV Park.

A bit of maintenance this morning at General RV Center in Jacksonville. The step cover didn't want to come in yesterday, so we've gotten that squared away.
Clara can always find a great place to eat, and tonight she didn't disappoint. Safe Harbor Seafood Market in Mayport Village appears to be a converted fish house that now serves really fresh seafood - straight of the boat.
At Safe Harbor, you give your order where the cooks are cooking and to the right (not in the picture) is where you can buy fresh seafood to take home |

From palm trees to pine trees.
We found a nice little state park here in South Carolina, Colleton State Park near Waterboro, SC. It's right next to the Edisto River and quite a nice setting. Only problem is there was only one space left and it isn't too level. But I thought I'd start trying out the limits of the self leveling system. It almost got the coach level on its own, but I added a couple of blocks under the rear jacks and we're in good shape.

We're up bright and early and point the pony toward home (actually departing at 10 am, which is early). The closer we get to Beaufort, the bigger the Third Turtle is getting. And by the time we get it in the driveway, it's huge.
