Day 2
Continuing in the effort to make sure that no one gets any rest, today we went to Shackleford in the power boat.
As soon as we got away from the docks, the girls got in the tube, and they stayed there just about every time the boat moved.
The water was splashing in their eyes, so they put on goggles |
And snorkeling looking for shells
And more tubing

And running
Taylor has really enjoyed our neighbors dogs

Day 3
This is what summer is all about! Fun in the sun!
Another great day on the water - and - this time we add to the crew of females on the boat. Friends of the Lantz's, the Parsley family, are staying in the Lantz's home for a few days, and today, they add 3 more ladies, Tressa (who just graduated from High School), Marin (same age as Anna and Taylor) and Mom, Kim, to the crew (while Bill had to go Raleigh to pick up their son from football camp). So today I'm outnumbered 6 to 1. I just do what they tell me to do!
We head out in the boat into some stiff breezes to Shackleford. As soon as we get started, three of the girls get on a slightly deflated tube for a bouncy ride to the island.
Tresa, Taylor and Anna bounce across the sound |
Marin and Taylor"goggled up" and riding the waves |
Going! |
Gone! Taylor was a real troublemaker.... She kept on bow plowing the tube and even pushed Tressa off! |
Entertaining downtown Beaufort! |
